God Says You Are...

YOU ARE SEEN, KNOWN, AND LOVED

The Lord your God is with you … He will take great delight in you … he will sing for joy because of you. (Zephaniah 3:17)

In the midst of pain, limitations, loss, and uncertainty, there is one unchanging truth: we are deeply, unconditionally loved by God. We are not defined by our diagnosis, our energy level, or by what the world sees. We are precious, chosen, and treasured by the Creator of all.

God delights in us and rejoices over each of us with singing. That’s not just poetry—it’s the heart of the One who knows us intimately, loves us completely, and walks with us through the darkest valleys.

 🫶 KINDNESS BEGINS WITH YOU

When we love ourselves by God’s grace, that love multiplies into how we love others. Genuine self-care isn’t selfish; it’s a way to honor the amazing human God created each of us to be. Through simple, intentional rhythms (caring for body, mind, soul, and emotions), we partner with God to reflect His love to the world.

Here’s what God-centered self-care looks like in daily life:

  • Body: Take gentle, intentional care of our bodies (rest, nourishment, and movement when we can)—not as performance, but as stewardship.
  • Mind: Invite truth to replace worry, replacing “what-if” loops with biblical truths.
  • Soul: Draw closer to God through prayer, quiet reflection, Scripture, and listening for His still, small voice.
  • Emotions: Bring your feelings (everything from joy to fear) to God, trusting Him with every part of your heart.
  • Connection: Love flourishes through deep connection—through intentional conversations, prayer, or brave vulnerability.

Self-care nurtures our souls and reminds us that we are worthy of love and belonging from God and others.

✨ KNOW GOD BY HIS NAMES

To feel deeply loved, we must know the One who loves deeply. In Scripture, God reveals Himself through many names, each highlighting a facet of His character, His promises, and His closeness to us.

When we meditate on these names, our trust grows, even when pain persists:

  • El Shaddai — God Almighty, the all-sufficient one.
  • Jehovah-Jireh — the Lord our Provider.
  • Abba Father — our intimate, loving Dad.
  • The Lord is Peace (Jehovah-Shalom) — offering rest for your weary heart.

Each name reveals how God sees us, loves us, and wants to walk with us. As we know God more deeply, we sense His love more—not only intellectually, but also deeply, tenderly, personally.

A PRAYER FOR YOU

Lord, thank You for loving us beyond measure. When we feel weary, remind us that our worth is anchored in You. Help us care for ourselves with the same gentleness You show us. Reveal Yourself in new ways—through Your character, by Your names, and in Your silence. May we rest in Your unfolding story for us today. In Jesus’ name, amen.

REFLECTION &  AN INVITATION

  • How have you felt God’s love today? What name of God whispers that truth to your heart right now?
  • Where can you offer yourself kindness this week—in a pause, a breath, a gentle “yes” or “no”?

You are irreplaceable and indispensable. You are held. You are loved.
