We are made for connection...that grows, deepens, and spreads hope like dandelion seeds in a warm breeze.
LOVE IN ACTION: AN INVITATION
Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. [Mother Teresa (and she wasn’t kidding!)]
If you’ve ever wondered how to love well (even on the days when getting out of bed feels like heroic service), you are in the right place. Love isn’t only found in grand gestures. Love whispers its presence in the small, brave, everyday choices we make to show up—for God, for others, and for ourselves.
We are made for connection, not just any connection, but one that grows, deepens, and spreads hope like dandelion seeds in a warm breeze… and guess what? We’re already living it!
🌱 WHERE LOVE BEGINS (HINT: IT’S CLOSER THAN YOU THINK)
Some days love looks like:
✨ opening your eyes to see the world/others/yourself with intentional gratitude.
✨ sending a quick text that says I’m thinking of you.
✨ choosing prayer over worry.
✨ sitting quietly with someone who feels alone.
✨ choosing intentional listening rather than offering advice.
These are tiny sparks, but sparks light candles and candles light rooms. Love is never too small; it’s ever-expanding.
And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. (2 Corinthians 9:8 NIV)
God is ready to overwhelm you with more blessings than you could ever imagine, so that you’ll always be taken care of in every way, and you’ll have more than enough to share. (2 Corinthians 9:8 VOICE)
💛 LOVE THAT BLOSSOMS THROUGH YOU
We’ve walked through seasons when serving or getting involved felt impossible. Chronic illness, mental illness, or pain don’t stop the flow of love—they redefine the ways love flows. These are creative acts of love: simple, unique, attentive, and deeply relational.

CHRONIC JOY’S LOVE IN ACTION
Our programs are built on four God-shaped values that help love grow—and that compassionately serve you with a wealth of accessible, easy-to-use, faith-based resources and publications:
✨ Prayer — Talking with God is like sipping living water, tasting His love.
✨ Awareness — Recognizing the holy and the humble around us—as well as the importance of every story and the infinite worth of each precious life.
✨ Connection — We were created for radical connection with God and others—none of us were made to journey alone.
✨ Education — Providing resources and publications that help us grow and gently learn. These aren’t just words; they’re the rhythms that nurture hope.

🧡 FRIEND-RAISING: INVITE SOMEONE IN
Here’s where things get fun and a little magical: what if you became a lifeline for someone else today?
Friend-raising is simply this—sharing joy, hope, and encouragement with others so they feel held, welcomed, and known. It helps us nurture, strengthen, and build one another up.
Who might be waiting for a lifeline and blessed by an introduction to Chronic Joy?
👋 Someone who could use a bit of encouragement, like Daily Dose: Vitamins for the Soul.
📮 A friend who would be delighted by a snail-mail or email hello. Check out our store for one-of-a-kind flat cards.
📖 Someone whose spirit would leap at an uplifting read—pass on a Post to Ponder.
You have gifts—grace gifts—uniquely yours. Let them shine!
🍯 A WHIMSICAL THOUGHT FOR THE ROAD
If love were a garden, every act—big or small—would be a seed. Some days, you’d plant giant sunflowers. Other days, you’d plant tiny wildflowers that surprise you with resilience, fragrance, and unexpected beauty.
Either way, love grows.
Either way, hope blooms.
When we choose love in small moments—a text we send, a prayer we whisper, a person we reach out to—we participate in something much greater than we realize. We become part of a tapestry of grace that touches hearts, renews strength, and reminds the world that no one walks alone.
QUESTIONS TO PONDER
- Where is God inviting you to practice Love in Action today?
- What small act of kindness could begin an ever-widening circle this week?
- Who in your life could use some encouragement right now?
PRAYER
Father God, thank You for loving us and reminding us that love doesn’t have to be loud to be powerful. Help us notice the small ways we can serve today: a quick text, a listening ear, a quiet prayer, gentle words, and faithful presence. When we feel limited, remind us that love is never limited in Your hands. Take our simple offerings and multiply them beyond what we can see. May our lives become ever-widening circles of kindness, rooted in Your love and blooming with hope. Amen.
