O God of the Broken Beautiful, You take the most common, ordinary things and transform them into nourishment for body and soul. We need to also make space for lament today.
Our hearts are broken, we are people who always hold some kind of pain…
At its core (even in the deep and the dark), lament fosters the knowledge of God’s mercy and forgiveness. Even from the depths of chaos, there is confidence and a deep sense of trust in God.
So, whether the medical infusions make a difference (though I’m still praying they do), I am reminded that God is ready to infuse me with the strength and hope I need each day when I look to Him.
