(Perspective) Fixing our Eyes
How do we shift our focus? How can we change how we view our difficulties? God’s hand is in the middle of our stories and He wants us to look to Him to catch His perspective.

Ministry Assistant
Kara and her husband Conrad live in Calgary, Canada, where she taught for 28 years. She loves the Word of God and encourages others through her devotional writing. Kara felt led to write a book of devotionals (Searching for Sea Glass) when her journey with chronic illnesses pressed her more deeply into God’s arms of love. She prays that her journey and refinement will encourage your walk with God.

God brought me out of the life I used to have (the life I had before I became ill, before the diagnosis and medications). He brought me out of this to bring me in to something good. What?! How can life with an illness be a better place?
The common thread between all these is that God was there, ready to grieve with me, but I needed to take a step toward Him. He always met me right there—and He still does, because (to be honest) the grieving continues.
